It was gloomy today in the city of Port Harcourt, as former attorney general of Rivers State, Emmanuel Chinwenwo Aguma SAN KSC, was laid to rest.

The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, being accompanied by his Sokoto, Akwa Ibom, Anambra and Gombe counterparts, described Emmanuel Aguma as a reliable, brilliant and dedicated ally. Governor Wike stated that all protects pertaining to the judiciary, including the  already commisioned National industrial court, NBA house and the Judges quarters to be commissioned in December, were all birthed through the vision of the late Attorney general.

Governor Wike further said that in a bid to ensure regular communication with the family of Emmanuel Aguma, the wife of the deceased, Mrs Inime Aguma would be appointed as a member of the Rivers State executive council. Governor Wike also promised that the Government of Rivers State would build a befitting house for the late Attorney general's family.

Lastly, Governor Wike said that the late Attorney General would be immortalized, by having the Judges quarters named after him.
