Apostle Suleiman says Nigeria is running out of time; warns Buhari

General Overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman has warned that Nigeria was running out of time owing to the senseless killing of defenseless citizens by violent herdsmen across Nigeria.

Apostle Suleman, who was reacting to the reported killing of 120 persons in Jos South, Riyom and Barkin Ladi Local Government Areas of Plateau State by gunmen suspected to be herdsmen, said the culprits were determined to start an avoidable problem that will be irreversible – a crisis between Christians and Muslims.

“It is now very clear that under the watch of President Muhammadu Buhari, the herdsmen are pushing the country to the precipice and are desirous to start a war that will lead to the disintegration of Nigeria—a war between Christians and Muslims,” Apostle Suleiman said in a statement signed by his Communications Manager, Mr. Phrank Shaibu.

Suleman urged the Federal Government to as a matter of urgency put in place a programme that will disarm the killer herdsmen instead of using billions of tax payers’ money to establish ranches, which amount to creating safe havens for murderers.

“Why is the Federal Government establishing ranches for private citizens? Who is Buhari establishing ranches for? Ranches for men with assault rifles and inadvertently legalising murder?” Suleman queried.

He reiterated his warning that any attempt to massacre Christians in any part of Nigeria, will precipitate a crisis of epic proportion, the end of which no one can predict.

The statement, however, commended Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State whose quick intervention by way of declaration of dusk to dawn curfew averted what would have been a crisis of huge proportion.

It said the Muhammadu Buhari led All Progressive Congress (APC) led administration should forget re-election if the serious security problems currently confronting the nation are not addressed.

It called on security agencies to ensure that the perpetrators were caught and brought to justice, to prevent a reoccurrence.

Apostle Suleman prayed God to grant repose to the souls of the deceased and also grant members of their families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Couple Fall To Their Death While Taking A Seaside Selfie In Portugal (Photos)

Michael Kearns, 33-year-old and Louise Benson 37-year-old who went on a vacation in Portugal reportedly plummeted to their deaths, possibly while snapping seaside selfies on a seaside wall. Authorities say they (the couple) were either taking a selfie or retrieving a lost item.

The man and woman, one British and the other Australian, were found on a beach in the town of Ericeira after they reportedly fell early Tuesday.

Portuguese tabloid Correio da Manha reported the wall was about 98 feet tall.

Australian authorities said they were providing assistance to the family of the Australian citizen and coordinating with British authorities regarding the other victim.

Their bodies were first discovered by fishermen who thought they were sleeping, and later by a beach cleaner who realized they were dead.

The couple had reportedly left Australia to see the world months earlier, and had recently attended a wedding in Portugal.

According to local reports, this is not the first time tourists have fallen from the wall, and it is not the only such incident of a selfie turned deadly, or nearly did.

In 2015, a tourist died after falling down a flight of stairs while reportedly trying to take a selfie at the famed Taj Mahal site in India.

And just this past April, a woman taking a selfie on the catwalk of the Forest Hill Bridge in Sacramento, Calif., slipped and fell 60 feet, a fall that could have killed her. Miraculously, the unidentified woman survived the fall from California’s tallest bridge.

Last month, the body of a 25-year-old Washington man was discovered in a pool above Palouse Falls in a state park after he plunged off a cliff while taking selfies with his girlfriend, authorities said.

Barack Obama, Banky W mourn CNN TV host Anthony Bourdain who committed suicide today

Anthony Bourdain, celebrated gifted storyteller and popular writer who took CNN viewers around the world in his series has committed suicide.

He is aged 61. His death happened days after fashion designer, Kate Spade hanged herself in an apparent suicide at her Manhattan apartment on Tuesday.

Spade was found hanged by a scarf she allegedly tied to a doorknob, an NYPD source said.

Suicide is a growing problem in the United States. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention published a survey Thursday showing suicide rates increased by 25% across the United States over nearly two decades ending in 2016.

Twenty-five states experienced a rise in suicides by more than 30%, the government report finds.

CNN confirmed Bourdain’s death today and said the cause of death was suicide.

It is with extraordinary sadness we can confirm the death of our friend and colleague, Anthony Bourdain. His love of great adventure, new friends, fine food and drink and the remarkable stories of the world made him a unique storyteller. His talents never ceased to amaze us and we will miss him very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughter and family at this incredibly difficult time.

Bourdain who was also a world class chef was in France working on an upcoming episode of his award-winning CNN series “Parts Unknown” when his close friend and French chef, Eric Ripert, found Bourdain unresponsive in his hotel room on Friday morning.

Former US President Barack Obama has taken to Twitter to mourn CNN host Anthony Bourdain who committed suicide today at 61.

Obama, who has met and dined, with the CNN host shared a photo of them together and wrote:

“Low plastic stool, cheap but delicious noodles, cold Hanoi beer.” This is how I’ll remember Tony. He taught us about food — but more importantly, about its ability to bring us together. To make us a little less afraid of the unknown. We’ll miss him.

Nigerian singer, Banky W who met the gifted storyteller has mourned his death, reminiscing to the time they sat down together to talk.

Completely stunned by the news of Anthony Bourdain’s passing. Got to sit down with him before our interview, and he shared parts of his story. His rise to success was so inspirational that I’m having a very hard time reconciling that with this news. I pray that God gives his family the strength to bear this loss. I pray we all learn not to take this life for granted. I pray that his life inspires us to realize that we can turn things around and go for our dreams like he did. I pray his death teaches us to take better care of ourselves and others. Depression is very real. Sigh.

Snail seller meets her long time customer, who is now a State Governor

Today, the prayers of a popular snail seller, Iya Dare Onigbin at Owena, Igbaraoke in Ifedore local government area, Ondo State – was answered after meeting one of her customers who is now a governor.. When early today it was drizzling in parts of Igbaraoke, little did Mrs Funmilayo Osunla , know that the rain was a positive omen at meeting one of her long time customers who is now the governor in Ondo State.

According to reports, the snail seller had thought any effort put into retaining Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, as customer might not materialise for obvious reasons.

But, like a loyal customer, Governor Akeredolu, turned up at Iya Dare’s stall after a long break. And so it was a miracle of her life to have the governor’s convoy pull up to patronise her again!!!

Though the embrace deeply warm, hugely intense and ecstatic for her; the empowerment that followed was nonetheless transforming!

It was indeed, one of those days that would for a long time, remain unforgettable in both the family and business lives of Madam Osunla as the patronage would help boost her snail business beyond her wildest dreams.

Carbon Copy: Liverpool Star, Mo' Salah Shocked To Meet Man Who Looks Exactly Like Him (Photos)

Who's who? - Salah (right) and Bahaa

Mohamed Salah is a man in demand in his native Egypt, so it may come in handy to know he has a very convincing doppleganger who could step in as a body double when it all gets too much.

The Liverpool star has become a national icon after his 43-goal campaign at Anfield, and will lead Egypt into their first World Cup appearance in 28 years this summer with hopes firmly on his shoulders.

Bahaa

And Salah's success on the pitch appears to have been good news for Ahmed Bahaa, who has gained plenty of media attention for his ridiculous likeness to the diminutive winger as a result.

Bahaa

Daily Mail UK reports that Bahaa has regularly been seen on Egyptian television posing in both the Egyptian national and Liverpool shirts baring Salah's name. In videos of him roaming the streets, plenty of people believe they are meeting the man himself, and with good reason.

Brit-born scientist 104 flying to Switzerland to end life: "I regret living so long"

Brit-born David Goodall raised more than £10,000 to travel to a euthanasia clinic in Switzerland.

He does not have a terminal illness, but says he wants to take matters into his own hands as his quality of life is continuing to deteriorate.

Speaking to ABC, he said: “I greatly regret having reached that age.

“I’m not happy. I want to die.

"It’s not sad particularly.

"What is sad is if one is prevented.

“If one chooses to kill oneself, then that should be fair enough.

"I don’t think anyone else should interfere.”

Controversial euthanasia campaigner Philip Nitschke said his organisation, Exit International, was assisting Professor Goodall to travel business class to the clinic.

“If one chooses to kill oneself, then that should be fair enough”

Dr Goodall has been a member of the group for almost 20 years and will fly out of Perth, Australia, on Wednesday.

One of the organisation's nurses, Carol O’Neil, will go with him to the Life Circle in Basel, Switzerland, which has been able to "fast track" him.

The centenarian made international headlines in 2016 when his university reversed a decision to kick him out of his office on campus amid concerns his long public transport commute was a health risk.

Considered a leading botanist and ecologist, Prof Goodall was born in Edmonton, London, in 1914.

He received his PhD from the Imperial College of Science and Technology in the capital in 1941 before emigrating to Australia in 1948, where took up a post at the University of Melbourne.

David was awarded a Doctor of Science from Melbourne University as well as an honorary doctorate from the Università degli Studí di Trieste  in Italy.

He held a range of academic positions in the UK, US and Australia before retiring in 1979.

After his retirement, he edited the 30 volume series of Ecosystems Of The World with over 500 authors.

Dr Goodall has produced more than 100 research papers in an ecology career spanning 70 years.

He celebrated his 104th birthday earlier this month and has since made the decision to travel to Switzerland where voluntary euthanasia is legal.
