While many all over the world choose to focus on negative stories coming out from this part of the world, somebody somewhere in Nigeria is breaking positive records and making the country proud.
Meet Adetunwase Adenle, The only Nigerian citizen who has achieved the Unique feat of breaking four Guinness world records. The class room teacher and artist holds these Records in different categories.
His first record is: The World's Largest Painting by Numbers This painting is as big as a football field. It measures about 63.5m x 49.3m and was painted by 350 volunteers. This painting represents the map of Nigeria.
His second record was Most Children Reading aloud with an Adult. It was done in commemoration of 2011 World Literacy Day. This second Guinness world Record was achieved with the support and cooperation of the then Deputy Governor of Lagos state, Mrs Adejoke Adefulire Orelope.
The highest number of children washing their hands at the same time was his Third Guinness Record. This was done to educate children on how to be clean at all times so as not to contact diseases. This third record was done in partnership with Unilever's lifebuoy soap.
His fourth record is for the world's biggest post office stamp painting which was used to celebrate Lagos at 50. Adetunwase Adenle worked with Lagos state government, some organisations and NGOs to make his records happen and also to make sure that the children that worked with him to make his paintings a success will benefit from his projects.

Think like a SUCCESS; Activate the DREAMER in you
Many times, we imagine how it would feel to live a different kind of life; distinct from what we presently live.
We dream about how it would feel to be more successful, happier, more fulfilled than we are.
Sometimes, we admire or envy those we assume have better lives, the lives we want to live.
Rightly so, everything we want to achieve, needs to be first, conceived.
Before a woman births her infant, conception must precede, and it should be conscious.
She nurses the foetus, protects it with her life, endures the cramps, hopes for the best, writes down the proposed name of the foetus and finally pushes as hard as she can to ensure she successfully births her baby.
Same thing goes for achieving success.
It is said that, as a man thinks in his heart, so he is.
To be successful, you must first, conceive it in your heart. Dream about it, nurse it, protect it, don't get discouraged by the cramps, write it down, look at it every day, strive hard to achieve it, and finally push.
All these must be conscious effort.
Read books, get motivated by achievements.
Habakkuk 2:2-3 says you should write it down. It may not be the time for it to come through, but write it down.
Have yourself a "to do" list. When you achieve one thing, you strike it out.
You cannot mistakenly become successful.
Luck always runs out.
Think like a success; Activate the dreamer in you.

A man's world or a woman's world?
Yesterday, we talked about what women want. As indecisive as they may be, there's one thing they tend to agree on: It is a man's world.
Guys are blamed for everything. They are seldomly seen as good people; "All guys are the same" is the national anthem.
"No guy is single. If they are, they're lying about it. Guys just want the 'flesh'; predators, they are. They are dogs. Trust no guy...", most women say; and they don't have female dads, do they?!
Just like we said yesterday, life is dynamic. Nothing stays the same for ever.
Even as these allegations may not be unfounded, girls may have just either equalled or succeeded guys.
A girl would have a man, tell another man about her man, and still want another man.
Crazy, yeah?! The world we live in.
I had a friend. He had a friend (girl and quite beneficial, I might add) who had a man.
Things moved on smoothly until she found out he got himself a girl.
"I don't want you to cheat on your girlfriend, cos I can't imagine my man cheating on me", she said.
And he said to me, "Girls are the real players. It's a woman's world".
Very well then, the dilemma, "who truly runs the world?"
Beyonce says: Girls! Girls!!

Security Agency Confirms Assassination Attempt On British Queen Elizabeth II
New Zealand’s intelligence agency has confirmed for the first time that a teenager tried to assassinate Queen Elizabeth II during a visit to the southern city of Dunedin in 1981, sparking a police inquiry into how the incident was handled.
Documents released by the New Zealand Security Intelligence Service (SIS) show the then 17-year-old Christopher Lewis shot at the Queen as she got out of her vehicle on the way to a science fair on 14 October during her eight-day tour of the Commonwealth nation.
“Lewis did indeed originally intend to assassinate the Queen, however did not have a suitable vantage point from which to fire, nor a sufficiently high-powered rifle for the range from the target,” said a 1997 SIS memo, that was declassified in February and sent to Reuters on Thursday.
The documents were declassified in response to a request by Fairfax Media.
Lewis, who intelligence documents described as a “severely disturbed” youth, was not charged with attempted murder or treason, adding to claims the incident was downplayed to prevent embarrassment to a country hosting a royal visit.
He was instead charged with unlawful possession and discharge of a firearm.
Members of the crowd in Dunedin and reporters heard the shot, but were initially told by police that the noise was from a falling sign or a car backfiring.
“Current police investigations into the shots have been conducted discreetly and most media representatives probably have the impression that the noise was caused by a firework of some description,” said a November 1981 memo from SIS, also released on Thursday.
According to intelligence documents, police kept a close eye on Lewis during a 1986 visit by the Queen to New Zealand, fearing that he was still a risk.
The intelligence agency revelations have prompted a police inquiry into the matter, authorities said on Thursday.
A New Zealand police spokeswoman said in a statement to Reuters that the police commissioner had ordered the case file be examined.
More than a decade after the incident, Lewis was charged with the brutal murder of an Auckland mother and the abduction of her baby daughter, who was later dropped at a nearby church.
According to multiple news reports at the time, Lewis electrocuted himself while in prison in 1997 awaiting the murder trial. He denied the murder charge in a suicide note.
New Zealand has been independent of British rule since 1947, but retains the Queen as its constitutional monarch and head of state. She has visited the country as monarch 10 times, most recently in 2002.

What Women Want
How easy or uneasy can it be to decipher?
Amazing
creatures, created after the seventh day, mostly as “helpers”. Interestingly,
they have become a lot more. Most women are captains of industries, successful
entrepreneurs, even bread winners of their homes.
Well, they’ve been clamouring
for gender equality. Surely, fate has shone on them.
When
they were described as “weaker vessels”, I only assumed that, as helpers, their
duties are somewhat defined (not to the kitchen, the bedroom and the other room
though), but basically, not to do what men do.
Men
are assumed to be the providers, protectors,
and in clearer terms, superheroes. But life is quite dynamic. Nothing remains
the same for too long a time.
Gradually, from becoming helpers, women became partners.
One thing I admire about this species is that, they
always have their way; they could care less about protocol.
“I need a man to take care of my needs, be there for
me when I need a shoulder to cry on, scold me when I seemingly go astray, pamper
me like a spoiled brat; but I want to be independent”. The ironical oxymoron
Common guys, if you scold your lady, you’re damn too
harsh. You keep quiet about stuff, you’ve got no spine. You say your mind, you’re
selfish. You keep your thoughts to yourself, you’re secretive.
There is an expected balance you’re meant to keep,
but never mind the clues, cos you ain’t getting jack.
My advice, do what you gotta do. Lines would fall in
pleasant places some day.
