Love: What it does to us

"Love can hurt you, disappoint you; love can make you cry" ~ a certain someone said.

The Apostle Paul wrote: "Love is kind, patient, enduring, forgiving, not boastful," etc.

Love then could be described as oxymoronic; it could be the best thing that ever happened to you, or the worst thing that ever happened to you.

We just hope for the best.

The signs are there but we ignore them

Love results in making excuses for the one you love, faulting common sense and holding on to false hope.

Our gut tells us something, we do something else. We believe strongly they would change, even when their actions, inactions, reactions and choices all point to different outcomes away from our hopes.

You believe the lie you know is false, hoping that one day, it becomes true.

They say true love is hard to find; but surely, love is love, always true and never fake.
Fake love isn't love, as half truth is a lie.

The vulnerability that accompanies love is quite refreshing, scary but comforting.

Indeed, Love is giving another the power to hurt you but trusting such one not to.

There are no guarantees in Love; a gamble, it is.

We all hope to find that special one; that's where we belong.

Don't stop loving... A thousand tries is nothing if you quit.

  1. Love is truly an oxymoron. It could be what makes you happy grinning from ear to ear or it could make you crying balling your eyes out and thinking or suicide or even murder.
That's why I stick to my decisions
