Following the death of Lorraine and consequent disappearance of the murder suspect boyfriend Lt Abubakar Hayaha Yusuf, naval officer in Borokiri Port Harcourt, operatives of the IGP intelligence response team relentlessly searched for the suspect.
Upon intelligence report, a young man named Taddeus Jaja M '28' was arrested.
Following interrogations, the arrested made some graphic confessions, claiming that he had murdered Lorraine in the naval quarters of Lt. Abukabar, after they had some arguments.
He further confessed that, to cover up his crime, he had murdered the naval officer by spiking his drink with an over dose of a drug named 'Talen' and proceeded to send a text message to one of the friends of Lorraine - Joy -, stating that the naval officer had murdered her over an argument.
Jaja confessed that he had proceeded to a forest in Ubima, Ikwerre Local Government area to burn the lifeless body of the naval officer.
Operatives of the IGP intelligence response team took the suspect to the forest where he allegedly carried out the dastardly act. Carcass of a deceased were found burnt beyond recognition.
The new murder suspect allegedly sold the car of the naval officer to an unsuspecting buyer in Benin, and the phone of the officer to another buyer in Port Harcourt.
It was revealed that Taddeus Jaja was the house boy of the deceased Naval officer.
