President of the Nigerian Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki has stated that the Police IG tried to prevent his appearance at the National assembly to prevent the defections that rocked the APC on Tuesday.
In a tweet via his official Twitter handle, Senator Saraki stated that the IGP's plan was to detain him for 2 days, which was perceived as the only way to thwart the defection plan in the national assembly.
Saraki berated APC led Federal government for trying to blackmail him and his supporters to remain in a party that criminalizes its members.
