Egyptians vote for Mohamed Salah to become president as more than 1million spoil ballots in election

EGYPTIANS voted for Liverpool hero Mo Salah to become president - as more than one million people spoiled their ballot papers in the presidential election.

Red-hot Salah is the top scorer in the Premier League with 28 goals to his name this season.

Egyptians want Mo Salah to become their next president and now it seems like people from his homeland are desperate for him to turn his hands to politics, too.

Voters crossed out the names of the two candidates on the ballot and instead wrote down Salah's.

Abdul Fattah al-Sisi was re-elected for a second four-year term after sweeping up 92 per cent of the vote while Moussa Mustafa Moussa, the only other approved candidate, got just three per cent of the vote.

Spoiled ballot papers accounted for five per cent of the vote, with a chunk of those seemingly belonging to Salah.

Three potential candidates dropped out of the race while a fourth - a former military chief - was arrested and accused of running for office without permission.

As well as electrifying Liverpool and being linked with a £200million move to Real Madrid, Salah has notched 33 goals in 55 appearances for his country.

He scored the last-minute penalty that secured Egypt's qualification for this summer's World Cup.

He scored four in the last game before the international break, the 5-0 demolition of Watford.

The forward has scored 36 goals in all competitions this season.

But his Prem tally matches or is better than five Premier League teams at the time of writing: Brighton, Burnley, Swansea, Huddersfield and West Brom.

Husband files for divorce after DNA test reveals 4 out of 6 children are not his

- A man who found out the four children he believed he shared with his wife were not actually his publicly shared his story asking the real father of the children to reveal himself

- DNA testing revealed the shocking truth to him, leading him to file for divorce from his wife

Even the most successful people in their careers aren’t immune to when strange and traumatic soap-operatic events happen in their personal lives.

This was proved when Michael Mgwira, a senior corporate manager from Malawi, publicly revealed intimate details about the paternity of the four children he assumed were his.

He confirmed this after a DNA test unmasked the truth to him that four of the six children he had with his wife, Mirriam were not his but had been fathered by someone else.

It was gathered that he broke the news to shocked relatives in a family WhatsApp group. He told the family to feel free to share the information as widely as they wanted saying there 'nothing to hide'.

In the message which has now be repeatedly shared on social media platforms he said: “You may have been hearing rumours regarding what is happening with my family. This message is meant to communicate the correct position of the situation.”

He then goes on to explain that he decided to order DNA tests for his children on January 28 and received the results on March 1. He announced the results and asked for people to pray for the children who would be traumatised by the turn of events.

He said: “I am sorry and deeply disappointed to inform you that DNA results have shown that I am not the biological father of Elton, Hellen, Kamwadi and Lucy Ngwira. As you would understand, we have a crisis in the family and as an immediate measure I have separated from Miriam while the parents discuss the way forward. Please pray for the children who shall be traumatised by this unwanted situation.”

Time, like an ever rolling stream....

The first and last drops of water would definitely get into the reservoir, but certainly not at the exact same time.

This is a case of slowly, but surely.

I'll tell you a story...

Gladys Burrill is truly one incredible woman. She had been an aircraft pilot, mountain climber, hiker and a horseback rider. But these things are not what she is known for.
She had her first marathon when she was 86 years old. She became famous after completing the Honolulu Marathon  at the age of 92.

Wait, marathon? 92 years old? Yessss!

Though she power-walked and jogged all throughout, she managed to reach the finish line. Even though it took her nine hours and 53 minutes to finish, she is proud of reaching the goal she set.
She was determined to do it, and so she did.
In turn, she was recognized by Guinness World Records and Hawaii House of Representatives for her wonderful story.

"There are enough people in the world who are going to write you off. You don’t need to do that to yourself.” ~ Susan Boyle.

Doubts are surely inevitable, particularly from persons; even from yourself. Your passion to achieve should be stronger than your doubts.

Some people would believe in you; but remember, you are your number one fan.

When your doubts are pulling you down and are convincing you to give up, slap them with truth — they are just doubts and they can vanish if you choose.

Trust your abilities...

Pursue your passion; but let sacrifice be its partner.

"Hell Does Not Exist" - Pope Francis

Pope Francis says hell – believed to be a place of condemnation for deceased sinners – does not exist.

The pontiff reportedly said this in an interview with Daily La Repubblica, an Italian newspaper.

“There is no hell where the souls of sinners suffer in eternity,” he was quoted as saying.

“After death, the souls of people who repent are pardoned by God and join in his contemplation. But those who do not repent, and therefore cannot be pardoned, disappear.

“Hell does not exist… what exists is the disappearance of sinful souls.”

The pope was interviewed by Eugenio Scalfari, a veteran Italian journalist and atheist who regularly muses about faith and religion, and enjoys access to the leader of the Catholic church.

In the past, the veracity of quotes he attributed to the pope has been called into question, especially after the 93-year-old Scalfari admitted to never using a tape recorder during interviews.

The Vatican has never complained about Scalfari’s work, and Francis has continued giving interview to him.

It is part of the beliefs of Catholics all over the world that there is a place like hell, meant for punishment of sinners after they have died.

Unbelievable: Football Club Falls For Email Scam, Pays N887.9 Million Transfer Fee To Fraudsters

Lazio

It has been reported that Societa Sportiva Lazio S.p.A., commonly referred to as Lazio, a professional Italian sports club based in Rome, have been defrauded.

Lazio reportedly fell for an email scam and paid two million euros ($2.4m) of the final instalment for defender Stefan de Vrij’s transfer from Dutch club Feyenoord to fraudsters, the Agency France Presse, AFP, reports.

Italian newspaper Il Tempo reported on Wednesday that hackers with knowledge of the deal tricked the Serie A club into paying the money into the wrong bank account in the Netherlands.

Lazio received an email that appeared to be from the Dutch champions asking for the two million euros along with bank account details, and duly sent the money.

But Feyenoord never received the cash and claim to have no knowledge of the email.

Il Tempo said that the prosecutor looking into the case has tracked down the money to a Dutch bank account, which doesn’t belong to Feyenoord.

The 26-year-old joined Lazio in 2014 for 7.7 million euros after a successful World Cup with the Netherlands but will leave for nothing this summer after failing to extend his contract.

De Vrij has reportedly been targeted by six-time defending champions Juventus with interest also from English clubs Manchester City and Manchester United.

But Gazzetta dello Sport reported the centre-back is ready to sign for Inter Milan on a free transfer this summer.

Toyota has revealed the all-new, fifth generation RAV4 SUV at the New York International Auto Show on 28 March, the first RAV4 to be built on a Toyota New Global Architecture platform. The new RAV4 remains true to its impressive heritage as the original pioneer of the SUV segment, making significant advances in powertrain technologies, dynamic performance, intelligent safety provisions and all-round quality.

The robust styling of the new RAV4 expresses the robust and capable qualities that define Toyota’s approach to the latest iteration of the most sold SUV in the world.

An increased ground clearance and wider stance are clear signifiers of the RAV4’s robust character.

The design communicates “go anywhere” sense of fun and adventure that RAV4 ownership can bring, resonating with a target customer base of young families who enjoy life, whether moving around town or heading off to enjoy, sports, leisure or simple sight-seeing in the wide open spaces.

Manoeuvrability has always been a virtue of the RAV4 and this has not been compromised in the new design. In fact, at 4,600 mm long, the new model is only marginally different in length compared to the current model. But while reductions have been made in the front and rear overhangs, 30 mm have been added to the wheelbase, allowing for an even more spacious and comfortable cabin. Luggage space has been increased, too, and has versatility designed-in with folding rear seats, a double load floor and deck side nets. Vehicle width has been increased by 10 mm, to 1,855 mm, which translates into more comfortable and spacious cabin for the occupants.

Innovations in powertrain technologies and driving dynamics

The new RAV4 will be available with two TNGA powertrains, both more fuel efficient and powerful than those deployed in the current RAV4. A new Hybrid electric 2.5-litre powertrain combines fuel and emissions efficiency and quiet operation with more power and greater responsiveness. A new 2.0-litre petrol engine will also be available, with a choice of manual or automatic transmissions.

The 2019 Toyota Rav4 should go on sale in Nigeria early next year and the starting price is expected to be in the range of N22m.

RACIST VICKI MOMBERG GETS 3 YEARS IN JAIL!

Convicted racist Vicki Momberg was sentenced in the Randburg Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

She was sentenced three years in prison of which 1 year is suspended for a period of three years on condition that she does not commit a similar crime.

Momberg was found guilty of four counts of crimen injuria last year after video footage of her hurling insults at a black cop using the K-word went viral on social media.

In the video, Momberg was heard complaining about the caliber of black people in the country.

The court found that although the complainant might have been a victim of smash and grab, the choice of words she used during her outbursts were racial and directed specifically at black people.

Magistrate Pravina Rugoonandan said by using the K-word was stripping the victim of his dignity and respect.

She said she was not certain that Momberg had not shown any remorse for her actions even though she was found guilty by both the criminal and the equality court.

The magistrate said Momberg was caught on camera saying ”I don’t care what anyone says I don’t like these ‘k***’”.

She used the K-word 48 times that evening.
