When is too soon to start dating, after a break up?

Break-ups can cause a lot of confusion. How do you know if you’re truly over someone? How do you know when it’s healthy to start a new relationship? Here are a few ways to know if you’re ready to date someone new:

You’re no longer angry.
After a breakup, it’s only natural to be angry, but don’t let that anger last for long. Having resentment and not being able to move on from the past is only going to hurt you. And honestly, jumping into a new relationship with these feelings is just plain unhealthy. If this is you, you need time to heal. A new relationship is not the answer.

You don’t think about your ex.
If your ex is always on your mind, or you find yourself comparing new men or women to him/her, you still need time to move on. Starting a new relationship in this state will be toxic for both you and your new partner.

You don’t blame yourself.
If you’re blaming yourself for what went wrong in the old relationship, you can’t go into a new one thinking that it’s going to work out. Grant yourself the time to let go of the past before you start dating again.

You’re not afraid of being alone.
Jumping into another relationship because you’re afraid of being alone for the rest of your life is not a good idea. If you trust God, then you have to trust His plan. Forcing a relationship to happen—thinking that it’s going to solve your problems—is not in your best interests. Have patience. Mr. or Mrs. Right will come in good time.

If you can check this list off, you’ve got the greenlight to start dating. If not, no worries! Making sure you’re in a healthy frame of mind should be top priority, no matter what.

Washington pauses as Reverend Billy Graham lies in honour

PRESIDENT Donald Trump, lawmakers and everyday Americans paid their final respects Wednesday to the beloved late Reverend Billy Graham, who was bestowed a rare national tribute as his remains lay in honour in the US Capitol.

The one-time backwoods minister, who rose to become a spiritual advisor to several US presidents and millions of American faithful via their television sets, died last week at age 99.

The bulk of official Washington, including Trump, half a dozen cabinet members and many of the 535 lawmakers in Congress were in attendance alongside Graham’s relatives.

Mourners trooped quietly into the ornate Rotunda under the Capitol’s massive dome, as a military honour guard carried Graham’s casket from a hearse up the steps for the somber ceremony.

Trump walked with his wife Melania to the coffin, lay his hand on its wooden surface, and tapped it a few times, before walking away.

Sometimes referred to as “America’s pastor,” Graham was the world’s foremost Christian evangelist, who earned fame and a massive following by spreading a message of spiritual redemption at tent and stadium revival meetings, in a career that spanned decades.

Graham had a spiritual awakening at age 15 in 1934.

Despite Graham’s humble beginnings, he became a plainspoken preacher of essential truths, whose message reached far and wide, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said.

“Billy Graham lifted up our nation,” the Republican senator said. “A grateful nation pays respects.”
The event brought official Washington to a standstill ― a break from overheated national debates about gun laws following a deadly school shooting, and as Trump’s administration is roiled by fresh controversy after his son-in-law Jared Kushner lost his top security clearance, AFP reported.

Thousands of everyday citizens were also expected to file in to pay tribute and sign a condolence book, beginning at 1 pm (1800 GMT) after the president’s departure.

Graham will lie in honour for two days in the Rotunda.

It is an imposing environment. Statues of nine presidents and Martin Luther King stand guard, and a sweeping fresco, “The Apotheosis of Washington,” covers the Rotunda’s ceiling, 180 feet (55 meters) above the floor where Graham’s casket was placed.

The last person to lie in honour in the Capitol was Daniel Inouye, a longtime senator from Hawaii, in December 2012.

The term lies in state is reserved for US presidents. The last to do so was Gerald Ford in 2007.

Graham is only the fourth private citizen to lie in honour in the Capitol. The most recent non-politician was civil rights champion Rosa Parks in 2005.

“The man had such a gift for connecting with people,” House Speaker Paul Ryan told the ceremony.

Trump ordered American flags to fly at half-staff at the White House and other US public buildings and facilities on the day of Graham’s interment.

The Southern Baptist preacher was close to the family of President George W. Bush, who once said that a private meeting with Graham in 1985 helped him quit drinking.

Lion Attacks 22-Year-Old Woman, Mauls Her To Death Inside Private Game Lodge

A report by The Sun UK has shown that a woman has been mauled to death by a lioness. The sad incident happened at a private game lodge in South Africa.

The unnamed victim, 22, was attacked by the big cat at a reserve in Hammanskraal, a small town in Guateng.

Paramedics tried to revive her with CPR at the scene, according to Netcare 911 which appears to be a private emergency response firm.

"Tragically the victim had sustained severe injuries and she died at the scene," Netcare 911 spokesman Nick Dollman said.

Dollman told SunOnline she died on  "one of many game lodges in a large area known as the Dinokeng Game Reserve".

A herd of eight elephants broke out of the reserve, around 30 miles from Pretoria, in April last year.

Experts were called in to retrieve the animals after a bull elephant barged through an electric fence, News 24 reports.

UEFA confirm Premier League top four WILL qualify directly into Champions League group stages with new format to be implemented for 2018-19 season

The top four in the Premier League will gain direct passage into the Champions League group stages, UEFA has confirmed.

The changes are set to be introduced for the start of the 2018-19 competition, which will also see the top four teams in Spain, Italy and Germany skip the qualifying rounds.

Previously of course, the fourth-placed team in these leagues would have had to negotiate their way through a two-legged qualifier before gaining access into the group phases.

The Premier League top four will gain automatic places in the Champions League group stages

UEFA officially announced the changes to the structures of both the Champions League and Europa League in 2016, which have now been explained on its official website.

It is a change that sees 26 European teams, compared to the 22 of the old format, qualify directly into the Champions League group stages based on their league performance. This includes the winners of the Champions League and Europa League the season before, with six qualifying positions up for grabs.

As well as the confirmation that England's top four sides, due to its coefficient ranking of third, no longer need to squabble over a qualifying place, UEFA have also announced staggered match times.

This will see fixtures run between 5:55pm and 8pm - similar to the second tier of European competition.

But while the European football governing body will not be altering the competition from the group stages onwards, UEFA have introduced preliminary rounds to run before the first qualifying phase begin.

Beginning at the end of June - overlapping with next summer's World Cup in Russia which concludes midway through July - the Champions League will operate its preliminary event as a mini knockout tournament.

Four teams will enter at this stage and contest a semi-final and final for a place in the first qualifying round.

In a further announcement, UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin has insisted there will be no use of VAR next season.

'Fans see the VAR screen all the time but nobody knows how it works,' he said. 'We will not use it in the Champions League next season. For me, it might be a good project but we shouldn't rush it.'

Man United board members 'admit regret' over signing Alexis Sanchez in league meeting for three key reasons

Manchester United were quickest out the trap in January - snapping up Alexis Sanchez from under the noses of their rivals.

The Chilean looked set to sign for Manchester City before Jose Mourinho swooped, throwing huge money at the want-away forward.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan moved in the opposition direction, and to everyone it appeared that Manchester United had pulled off the biggest transfer coup of the season.

But extraordinary allegations from Spain are now suggesting that the Old Trafford club aren't as keen on the deal as they once were.

In fact, publication El Pais are reporting that United board members recently met with rival Premier League executives and confessed they 'regret' the signing.

Sanchez hasn't exactly hit the ground running at Old Trafford, and has netted only once in his seven appearances this season.

But there is no denying his world-class ability, and United are yet to see the best of the Chilean, who netted 30 times in all competitions for the Gunners last season, despite spending the majority of it looking for a way out.

According to El Pais, board members gave three reasons as to why they're having second thoughts over the signing at the secret meeting.


The first reason United are said to 'regret' the signing is because the Chilean would have been considerably cheaper had the club waited until the summer to sign him.

Manchester United were forced to pay huge signing-on and agent fees to land their man, and lost Mkhitaryan in the process.

Of course, had the Red Devils waited until the end of the season they would have been involved in an auction for the player, alongside a number of other massive clubs, and there is every possibility they would have missed out.

The second alleged reason is to do with Sanchez's huge wages.

Before the Chilean arrived there was a structure in place at Old Trafford, and his eye-watering wages have supposedly caused tension in the dressing room.

Paul Pogba is one player allegedly looking for his wages to be increased so that they match the Chilean's bumper deal.


The third and final alleged reason is to do with Sanchez's age.

While the Chilean still has a lot to offer, he is 29 years old, and very much at the peak of his playing career.


He therefore only has a few years left in which he will be performing at the highest level, before he loses half a yard of pace.

And, according to the report, it is these three issues combined that has the United board questioning whether they made the right decision in signing the former Barcelona and Arsenal man.

A suspected thief was severely death with after a failed robbery operation at a house in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state capital. According to reports, the young man allegedly came with his gang members to rob a compound last week – only for him to return again some days later for a solo operation. This time around, he was caught red-handed by sharp residents.

The suspect was beaten after being tied up and forced into the boot of a car where he was taken to a police station.

Man allegedly murders his kids and housemaid in Anambra state

According to multiple reports on Facebook, a man identified as Damian Nnadiogu allegedly murdered his children and their housemaid yesterday at Ntueke Street, Awada. Onitsha in Anambra State.

According to one of the reports on Facebook, the neighbors said they heard the housemaid screaming "Brother biko (please)" and later, they saw blood gushing out from their bathroom pipe. The neighbors rushed into the house and saw the kids and housemaid already dead.

The suspect was allegedly convulsing and was resuscitated by the neighbors who poured water on him.

It is also reported that a friend of the housemaid escaped alive after jumping from the house. See graphic photos below...

Photos: First year student stabs his girlfriend to death for allegedly having a sugar daddy; attempts suicide

Police in Bungoma, Kenya are investigating an incident where a student stabbed his girlfriend killing her while also attempting to commit suicide last Thursday evening, February 22.

Simon Wamalwa, a first year student at Sang’alo Institute of Science and Technology, stabbed his girlfriend, Mildred Wanyonyi to death during a quarrel.

According to witnesses, the two were living together in the same room in a hostel outside the campus since joining the institution early this year.

Sylvia Udoto, a student, said that Wamalwa had accused Mildred of having a 'sponsor' who was pampering her with gifts.

Ms Udoto said the two then engaged in a quarrel leading to a physical confrontation that led to the death of the female student.

“Wamalwa had claimed that his girlfriend had acquired a 'sponsor’ who was pampering her with gifts. The girlfriend denied and a quarrel ensued and he stabbed her several times,” she said.

Wanyonyi is later said to have turned the knife on himself in an attempt to commit suicide but was rushed by his colleagues to hospital.

Another student, Sylvester Odhiambo, said they heard a commotion in one of the rooms followed by screams and rushed to the scene.

Odhiambo said on arriving at the scene, they found that Wanyonyi had stabbed his girlfriend and was lying in a pool of blood.

He said they noticed that she heard several stab wounds on her body and was lying lifeless in the room while Wanyonyi was writhing in pain.

“We heard noises coming from one of the rental houses that hosts students and when we got there we saw that the girls had been stabbed severally and was lying unconscious,” he said.

Wamalwa is currently receiving treatment at the Bungoma County Referral Hospital while the body has been taken to the hospital’s mortuary.

Confirming the incident, Bungoma South OCPD, David Kirui, said investigations were ongoing and the suspect will be arraigned in court soon.

Kirui said the officers were informed of the 4pm incident and were called in to handle the situation. He said Mildred was found lying unconscious on the bed while the suspect was lying on the floor.

"We received a report on the incident in Sang'alo and police were called in and found the suspect lying on the floor in a pool of blood while Mildred was on the bed. They were both rushed to Bungoma County Referal Hospital where Mildred was pronounced dead on arrival," he said.
