THE CITY CALLED PORT HARCOURT

The oil rich Rivers State's capital City, Port Harcourt; nicknamed the Garden city.
Doubtlessly so, the eyes of the world has been focused on Port Harcourt for obvious reasons.

Tourists from far and near have trouped into the city to see first hand, the beauty of this city.

Most recently, Port Harcourt hosted the continent of Africa where hundreds of international wrestlers assembled for the African wrestling Championship; first of its kind in West Africa, and who better to host, than the Garden city of Port Harcourt.

Well, there's no gain saying that the host country bagged more medals than any other; 46 medals.

Africa again converged in Port Harcourt  when the city played host to over 1000 lawyers from around Africa during the 2017 Annual Conference of the African Bar Association (AFBA).

The city called Port Harcourt: where entertainers have changed the face of Nigerian comedy, fashion, music etc.

"#portharcourtsabithething #portharcourttotheworld".

It's common knowledge that good things can only thrive in enabling environment.
Furthermore, enabling environment should be created by the leadership.
Needless to say, the role played by the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike CON cannot be overestimated.

Bagging various awards including Apostle of Peace, Sun Newspaper man of the year, Silverbird Man of the year and most importantly, United Nations Global Human Settlement Contribution award; and being nicknamed in the recent past as "Mr. Projects", it can be said that Nyesom Wike has proved himself an accomplished leader.

We shouldn't fail to remind you that Port Harcourt now houses the first ever private University for Medical sciences in Nigeria, PAMO University for Medical Sciences. It holds the record as the fastest approved Private University in Nigeria; from the submission of letter of intent in January 2017, the final inspection by the National Universities Commission in July 2017, to the granting of licence by the Federal Executive Council in December 2017.

With so much achieved in the last couple of years, we dare say, greater years lie ahead of Port Harcourt.

The city called Port Harcourt: My City, Your City, Our City, The Garden City.
