Champions League: I have packed my bags ready to leave Chelsea – Conte says after Barcelona draw
Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte, has claimed that he has his bags packed, in case the club decides to sack him.
Conte, speaking after their 1-1 draw with Barcelona on Tuesday night, warned that, “To move forward with the marriage everyone needs to be in agreement.”
The Italian looks certain to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer and admitted that he has been surrounded by gossip about his future since the start of the season.
“Like I already said I have a contract with Chelsea until 2019. I want to respect it but anything can happen in football.
“I’m happy here but to move forward with the marriage everyone needs to be in agreement. My intention is to continue.
“There was already talk about me getting sacked after the debut against Burnley.
“In our line of work, we always have a bag packed. It’s no problem for me, in fact I really like pressure. I just hope it doesn’t affect the players.
“Here they changed ten managers in fourteen years and the media plays on this when the results are negative.”
