Samir Nasri has been given a year ban by UEFA's disciplinary committee for improper treatment and will not be able to sign for Las Palmas, MARCA can reveal.
The punishment is half the two years that UEFA had initially imposed, on rules for a player involved in doping.
The case presented in front of the Court of Arbitration of Sport (CAS) by Juan de Dios Crespo has seen that sentence reduced.
The then Sevilla player, recently linked with Las Palmas, underwent various medical treatments at the Drip Doctors clinic over the winter break in 2016.
"We have given Nasri an Immunity IV Drip (saline fluid) to keep him hydrated during Sevilla's demanding season," the clinic shared at the time.
Nasri's lawyers presented a case to UEFA's Control, Ethics and Disciplinary board on March 31 to interrupt the process that the CAS was investigating.
The judgement was delayed until April 25, allowing Nasri to play 26 minutes against Celta Vigo on April 27 in his last appearance for Sevilla.
Now the final judgement has been made by the CAS and the punishment has been reduced from a two year to a one year suspension, as UEFA will announce on Monday.
